Categories of Submissions
- Posters: Posters are used to report a completed research project, pilot study, or work-in-progress. Please submit a half-page abstract. Guidelines for poster size can be found here.
- Papers: Papers are generally used to present a completed research study. Theoretical and methodological papers will also be considered. In each paper session, 20 minutes will be allotted to each contribution, plus 5 minutes of discussion. Please submit a half-page abstract.
- Panels: Panels should include three related presentations focused on a common theme. Each presentation should last 15 to 20 minutes, with 20 minutes of planned, open discussion. Each panel should have a moderator (generally the organizer of the panel) and three participants, one of whom can be a discussant. Please submit a half-page abstract summarizing the panel, plus separate abstracts for each presentation.
- Open Discussion: These 60-minute sessions will be devoted to an informal discussion on a topic of general interest to the membership. Two or three participants should be named who will agree to lead or facilitate the discussion. To propose an open discussion, please submit, as the abstract, a description of the topic and also the names of two or three participants.
